SensMax SensGuard MCP9808 Temperature Sensor
The SensGuard MCP9800 Wireless Temperature Sensor is designed for high-precision environmental monitoring across a temperature range of -30°C to +55°C. Fully wireless and non-intrusive, the sensor continuously measures ambient thermal conditions and transmits telemetry to a centralized cloud platform—enabling comprehensive reporting and automated alarm notifications whenever pre-configured temperature thresholds are breached.
How It Works
The SensGuard MCP9800 takes ambient temperature readings every 5 minutes and logs them into onboard internal memory. Recorded metrics are retrieved automatically over a secure RF wireless link by a central SensGuard data gateway. The gateway aggregates data from multiple environmental sensors across the facility and forwards the telemetry to the online portal for real-time visualization, historical logging, and automated alert triggering.
Key Features & Technical Advantages
High Measurement Accuracy: Delivers precise thermal readings with an accuracy of ±0.5°C.
Extended 5-Year Battery Lifespan: Powered by an internal long-life battery providing over 5 years of continuous operation.
Waterproof Housing: Built with a protective enclosure suitable for high-humidity areas, outdoor environments, or condensation-prone zones (such as commercial freezers).
Instant Surface Mounting: Deploys in seconds using heavy-duty adhesive backing on any clean wall or equipment surface without drilling or wiring.
Metrology Certification: Option to supply each sensor unit with an official calibration certificate issued by an accredited metrology laboratory.
Automated Alarm Matrix: Triggers instant SMS or email notifications to facility managers when temperatures drift outside defined safety bands.
Applications & Strategic Use Cases
Supermarkets & Food Retail: Monitor temperatures inside display cases, walk-in freezers, and refrigeration units to prevent inventory spoilage and comply with HACCP standards.
Data Centers & Server Rooms: Maintain strict microclimate control and detect cooling failure early to protect critical IT infrastructure.
Warehouses & Commercial Facilities: Safeguard facility infrastructure by tracking ambient temperatures to prevent pipe freezing or fire sprinkler system freeze-ups.
Museums & Art Galleries: Discreet microclimate tracking to protect temperature-sensitive artifacts, historical documents, and fine art collections.
HVAC Performance Auditing: Audit and verify heating, ventilation, and air conditioning efficiency across complex commercial zones.
Residential & Real Estate Assets: Monitor vacant properties or seasonal buildings to alert owners of extreme heating or freezing events.
