SensMax Pro D3 LR Bidirectional Sensor Set
The Pro D3 Long Range is a wireless, directional people-counting sensor engineered for traffic and occupancy tracking across shopping centers, retail stores, and commercial complexes. Installed at main entrances, floor transitions, elevator banks, or corridor intersections, it accurately records directional movement to compute real-time floor- and zone-level occupancy. It is recommended for small-to-medium commercial facilities with moderate foot traffic and entrance widths up to 9 meters.
How It Works
The unit utilizes a three-beam infrared scanning system to determine visitor movement direction (IN / OUT). Each directional event is logged independently into onboard internal memory. The sensor operates completely wireless, enabling fast surface mounting via adhesive backing without pulling cables or altering building infrastructure.
Automated gateways retrieve stored data wirelessly from field sensors every 20 minutes, uploading visitor metrics directly to a central database for real-time cloud reporting and analytics.
Available Range Variants
To fit any facility layout and collector placement, three radio coverage options are available:
| Model Variant | Open-Space RF Range | Indoor Wall-Penetration Range |
| Pro D3 (Standard) | 30 – 40 meters | Standard Indoor Line-of-Sight |
| Pro D3 LR (Long Range) | Up to 150 meters | Up to 50 meters |
| Pro D3 SLR (Super Long Range) | Up to 900 meters | Up to 150 meters |
Key Features & Technical Advantages
Bidirectional Counting (IN/OUT): Features 3-beam IR technology to separately track incoming and outgoing traffic for precise occupancy calculations.
100% Cable-Free Installation: Mounts in minutes on any flat surface using heavy-duty adhesive tape without requiring electrical work or wiring.
Onboard Memory Security: Autonomously logs and protects up to 25 days of hourly traffic statistics during network outages.
Long Range RF Communication: Transmits telemetry reliably across long distances (up to 900 meters open-space with SLR variants).
Fully Automated Operation: Automatically pushes data updates every 20 minutes without requiring manual staff intervention.
Simple Maintenance: Powered by replaceable batteries providing 6 to 12 months of autonomy (traffic-dependent), with fast battery swaps that do not require dismounting the casing.
Applications & Real-World Use Cases
Small to Medium Shopping Malls: Track floor-by-floor traffic distribution and identify peak visitor hours.
Multi-Floor Retail Boutiques: Calculate real-time zonal occupancy to manage staff allocations and customer service levels.
Commercial Office Hubs & Lobbies: Monitor entrance usage and elevator lobby footfall to evaluate building utilization.
Exhibition Centers & Public Halls: Maintain safe capacity limits by tracking real-time entry and exit totals.
